I NEED TO SHIFT THIS LARD!!

Two years ago (October, 2010) I was 95Kg (15 St), and 1.73 (5' 8") Meters, that my friends is the stats of someone who is OBESE.

I started a campaign to loose some weight, it was working really well but then came Christmas 2010 and I guess you know the rest. Today I am approximately the same weight and funnily enough height. (93 Kg / 14 St 5lb)

SO WHAT’S THE NEW ACTION PLAN?

Pretty much the same as it was before BUT with some more added DISCIPLINE, as the formula itself was working.

So here is the action plan in brief:

1)      Do More
2)      Eat less ( as my diet is currently pretty good )
3)      Keep a diary of my progress.

Lord I commit all this into your hands

I Know I can do this thing .... see you at the GYM tomorrow!

BREAKING THE STATU QUO

Recently my family and I were on a twenty mile car trip, and without getting too graphic, but about ten miles into the journey one of the occupants in the car (who will remain nameless) uttered out pardon me, a giggle then ensued and immediately we knew that we had to wind down all four windows. It was quite cold outside and so we had to wind the windows back up and as we continued on our journey acclimatized ourselves to the smell.

Fifteen minutes later, the incident now long forgotten we were almost home, I remembered I had a letter in the car to post which was in my glove box, so I duly pulled over to a pillar-box, and asked my daughter to pop the letter in the post box which she did. On returning to the car (which she was quite comfortable in just one minutes ago) she uttered out poo it stink in here; To which us the remaining occupants of the car replied 'STOP BEING SILLY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE, JUST GET BACK IN THE CAR, We can't smell anything'.
This is one of life's great tragedy we make ourselves comfortable in unbearable situations and then make it the new norm. So much so that when the real deal come along it is quite alien to us, and we often reject it because we get too comfortable in our own filth.

I do not suggest that you attempt this experiment, but, it is often been said that if you were to throw a live frog in a pan of hot water it would jump right out; However, if you were to put that same frog in a pan of cool water and gradually heat up the water you could actually boil the frog to death. Awful thought I know, but that's what most people do from day to day; we work ourselves into an unnatural position then get accept it as the norm, while every ounce of creativity, ambition, love for God and ultimately life get squeezed out of us.

So what is the next step :-

1- Recognition : Assess your current situation daily, whether it is your spiritual life, a target which you've set yourself sometime ago
( Ask the question 'Am I boiling myself to death?)

2 - Change : It's really up to you to take definite steps to break the deadlock

--- Oh and by the way Absolutely no frogs were harmed for the purposes of this blog.--- ;)

Stay Blessed

How much £ $ money would it take to make you financially free?

The most common answer to the above question is  £1 Million ( or whatever your national currency is).  The truth is that for most people this figure is a lot less than you think.

Thinking of the proverbial million will only serve to frustrate you, as you struggle in your nine to five to attain what seems an ever elusive target. In fact it can become a literal stumbling block to your desire for financial freedom. A million may well be the figure for some but not for all, so the question then becomes how do I know my 'freedom figure'?

Well there are several things to consider when you work out this figure and your priority in achieving your 'Freedom Figure' such as:-
  •        How old are you now
  •        When would you like to retire ( If at all)
  •        How much is in the bank
  •        Value of Assets/Liabilities in hand
  •        The value of your mortgage if any
  •       Dependants ages and the provisions that is/or will be your  responsibility

This list is not exhaustive, but will serve give you a number and believe me, it may not be as big as you think. Once you have this figure written down, you now have a target.

So now you can point aim and fire!

CHICKEN or EGG?

Wonder how many of you heard the saying which comes first 'the Chicken or the Egg?' Well I guess that would be all of you. The saying is used in situations where 'either way is good, we can't decide', or 'here is as good a starting point as any'. I've never liked that statement actually since for me the solution of which came first is pretty clear. Instead I usually opt for the saying catch 22.

Well, like all good questions and conundrums, you can count on scientists to spend large sums of money, time and effort to come up with the answers which are freely available in the world's best seller the WORD of God/THE BIBLE.

Back in 2010 a bunch of researchers at Sheffield and Warwick Universities came up with the conclusion that has been freely given to us in Genesis 1 Vs 21 .....  21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good...

Well the conclusion of the matter, is the Chicken came first ?, Cause it says so in the WORD of God.
